When Hosni Mubarak recently stepped down as president of Egypt, I took a ride through Egypt, a town in neighboring Lehigh County.
Now that the populist revolution sweeping the Middle East has shifted to Libya, whose capital city is named Tripoli, I thought it only fair that I visit New Tripoli.
Just over the Berks County border in Lehigh County, New Tripoli is a cluster of houses at the base of Blue Mountain in Lynn Township.
A quaint village marked by old stone inns and tall church steeples, New Tripoli was once the home of Ontelaunee Amusement Park. . .
