My fleeting 24hrs of fame . . .

Although reports are that I won the fourth seat in the nomination for Lehigh County Commissioner at Large, it appears Mr. Brad Osborne is the victor. The press release issued by My Lehigh County PAC on my behalf follows.

NEWS RELEASE
NEWS RELEASE

Allentown, Pa – Today, David Najarian, who is a member of the Republican reform team with Scott Ott, Lisa Scheller and Vic Mazziotti, conceded the County Commissioner race to South Whitehall Township Supervisor Brad Osborne. Najarian's concession followed news that Osborne gained a total of 6,006 votes over Najarian's 5,976 .

Najarian, who has a proven conservative record, stated, “In the best interest of our party and the winning candidates, I am conceding the race to Brad Osborne. With his knowledge and experience, I am confident that Brad will represent the constituents of Lehigh County well.”

“I am certain Scott, Lisa, Vic and Brad will each work diligently together to lower taxes and cut spending. I believe all four candidates are people of integrity and I strongly urge the taxpayers of Lehigh County to vote for them in November.”

Najarian continued, “It has been a pleasure to represent the people of Lynn Township over the last six years and to have a chance to represent the taxpayers of Lehigh County. I would like to thank my wife and the rest of the reform team members for supporting me over the last few months. While we did not win all four nominations, our message was more important than me alone. We were successful in educating the taxpayers about the current spending problem.”

“I am very proud of the campaign we ran and look forward to supporting conservative candidates that support lower taxes, reduced spending and greater government transparency,” concluded Najarian.

Post Script:

I have full confidence and throw my support for the Republican Nominee Brad Osborne for County Commissioner. I do this because I have full confidence in the electoral process and the procedures to count the public vote. Had my team not been in the race, I would have voted for Brad myself. I urge the Republican party to unite behind Brad Osborne, Scott Ott, Vic Mazziotti and Lisa Scheller to bring fiscal responsibility and government transparency to Lehigh County. I'm certain all will serve Lehigh County well.

David,

Despite what may have initally seemed like an insurmountable challenge, you and your team really proved what true determination and commitment can accomplish in the political arena.

The voters certainly embraced the new wave of "necessary reform", rather than continuing in the wake of political pandering and translucent rhetoric.
