As a followup to this post noting updates to the dangerous intersections of Kernsville-Clausville Rd and State Route 100, Penn DOT announces improvement work to begin there anew. Some may recall the string of fatal accidents which begat the installation of a near useless yellow blinking light. Yet following completion, this Wal-mark truck underscored the intersections unsolved dangerous propensities.
The project now includes a new signal and a wider intersection with left turn only lanes on all four approaches, new signs and pavement markings, drainage improvements and a realignment of Claussville Road. Read the full release here.
Meanwhile another fatality occurred at the noted dangerous intersection of Holbens Valley Road a/k/a Kistler Valley Road and Schochry Road in Lynn Township. By this blogs unofficial count the death toll along Kistler Valley Road rises to 9.
Bookmark this page. By this time next year the toll in Lynn Township will most assuredly rise to 10. The States ignorance is deafening. Where is the outrage?
